Nicksan – Definitely exceeded our expectations!
Nicksan is in our opinion the top restaurant in Cabo San Lucas. Owner, Angel Carbajal is an artistic master behind the sushi counter. And its no wonder, he has his own fishing boats that collect fresh fish every day. Nick San is a creative fusion of Japanese and Mexican cuisines, which truly sets his masterpieces apart. Every dish is truly an artfully created masterpiece, his presentation of food is the best of the best. The vibe in this restaurant is truly upbeat and it hosts a ton of regulars, once you eaten there you’ll understand why. Spectacular sushi south of the border located in the heart of Cabo – truly one of the best in the world!
Angel created some special dishes for us, which were not on the menu and they were truly outstanding! We sampled dumplings with scallops and shrimp – absolutely to die for! Fried shrimp with gorgonzola cheese with a spicy sauce… the best shrimp dish ever! From the menu we tried the Lobster Sambal –Marinated in sake, soy sauce, ginger and garlic in a sauce of sweet and sour chilles, green onion and sesame oil, love love loved it. Sashimi Serranito – Slices of fresh fish of the day with chili pepper sauce decorated with a thin slice of serrano chile, truly unique blending of flavors simply delicious. Tuna Tostada – Yellow fin tuna belly from the Pacific Ocean, served on rice cracker tostada, sliced avocado, habanero red onion sauce and sesame seeds, this signature dish is a must have and the presentation, picture perfect!. Gyoza Home Made – Stuffed with scallop and shrimp topping with a taste of seranito soy sauce…everything was incredible…. Reservations are strongly suggested.
