This Wednesday, July 13<\/strong>, IDENTITY<\/span><\/strong>\u2014the first-ever touring electronic <\/span>ONLY music festival<\/strong> that will visit major outdoor amphitheatres<\/strong> throughout North America<\/strong> in August and September\u2014is going \u201c20 for 20.\u201d<\/strong> Courtesy of Skullcandy<\/strong>, IDENTITY<\/strong>\u2019s presenter, $20 general admission<\/strong> tickets<\/strong> will be made available for only 20 hours <\/strong>for any one of the IDENTITY<\/strong> Festival shows.\u00a0Starting at<\/strong> 9:00 am local time<\/strong> until 5:00 am the next day<\/strong>, fans will have exactly 20 hours<\/strong> to grab a ticket through any Ticketmaster outlet at this exclusive price to any IDENTITY <\/strong>festival show to see the likes of KASKADE<\/strong>, PRETTY LIGHTS<\/strong>, STEVE AOKI<\/strong>, DJ SHADOW<\/strong>, AVICII<\/strong>, AFROJACK<\/strong>, RUSKO<\/strong>, THE CRYSTAL METHOD<\/strong>, THE DISCO BISCUITS<\/strong>, STEVE LAWLER <\/strong>and tons more.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason I was so interested in the ID festival was because nobody\u2019s ever done anything like this before\u2026I\u2019ve been working a lot on the visuals and the staging and how I\u2019m gonna present it. In these amphitheaters, essentially the stages are all the same, which is a lot different from touring in a nightclub because it\u2019s always changing and I\u2019m on a bus, so it gives me an opportunity to take that same exact show and present it at these different locations.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s very rewarding to be a part of ID Fest because it\u2019s kind of the manifestation of a lot of hard work that\u2019s gone into everything up to this point.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/strong>The summer is always one of the most exciting times for any artist; the festival season means that the crowd just gets bigger and bigger and of course it’s a hectic time with lots of gigs. It’s the best time to really get a feel for any new material you\u2019ve made as you can test it regularly and at a much higher level. I\u2019ve already experienced some pretty awesome reactions to some new material we’ve been working on!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI like the idea of different types of music occupying the same arenas that have traditionally held rock dinosaurs and pop catastrophes. I like to think that the fact I’m even involved signifies a small triumph, almost like ‘Uh-oh, who let him in here?’ No matter what happens, I’m appreciative of the platform and opportunity to share what I do, which is the only thing I know how to do–make and play music. I’ve been a DJ for 27 years, and I think I have something valid to contribute to the genre, even if most people there have no idea who I am. Hopefully they will when it’s over.\u201d<\/p>\n
