\nNightwire and crew were off to Cancun, Mexico, just a short flight from Pittsburgh with extremely affordable airfare. This tropical destination is our pick for a great vacation getaway to chase away the winter blues\u2026 or anytime for that matter!<\/p>\n

We stayed at the Presidente InterContinental Cancun Resort and it was truly a tropical paradise. This Resort is all you could ever want in a tropical retreat: five-star luxury, premium restaurants and a picture-perfect beach, the best in Cancun. Central shops and nightlife are 10 minutes away, Isla Mujeres is just across the water, and there\u2019s a golf course next door. In two hours or less, you\u2019ll stand in awe of ancient Mayan ruins.<\/p>\n

We knew from the minute we arrived that we had found our \u201cnew home\u201d for the rest of the week. We received a warm welcome from the time we stepped out of the cab in front of the hotel. What impressed us the most was the fact that during our entire stay that warm welcome and service was present until the day we departed. The staff at this hotel was amazing, treated us like royalty, no hesitation in meeting every request we had. We all absolutely loved this hotel and staff, the beach, service, food, margaritas, massages on the beach, and the calming beautiful turquoise waters. The cleanliness, friendliness and their attention to every little detail at this hotel was unbelievable.<\/p>\n

We stayed at the club tower on the 6th floor, where they provide you with breakfast and an afternoon snack. During our stay, we had Emanuel, he works 6 days a week and loves his job. Emanuel is small in stature but, huge on personal service and attention, before we could ask for something, he seemed to know exactly what we needed. This young man takes great pride in his job and we must say, it shows!! Thank you Emanuel for taking such good care of us.<\/p>\n

This property has 3 restaurants, the El Caribeno delights the senses with savory Caribbean dishes, but it may be the fantastic location overlooking the beach that keeps you coming back for more. The breezy elegance of a giant poolside palapa adds unforgettable flavor to the lavish breakfast buffet and the lunch and dinner \u00e0 la carte menus featuring a variety of seafood ceviche, fish and salad. Frutas y Flores is a casual restaurant reserved exclusively for private functions and open seasonally for breakfast and dinner. Here is where you will find Canc\u00fan\u2019s bright sun streaming in the windows overlooking the main pool and the Deck Bar. Ca\u00f1a Brava and the Deck Bar do a variety of snacks and fruits on the beach, and Tequila Collection Bar & Terraza offers more than 600 tequilas. Yes, over 600 tequilas!!<\/p>\n
