Maui – Kimo’s

Kimo’s – Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii

Right on the water and in the heart of historic Lahania, Kimo’s offers you and your o’hana (Hawaiian for family) a casual, completely Maui dining experience. Renowned for its postcard views of Lanai and Molokai, along with a menu featuring fresh Hawaiian fish, prime rib, prime steaks and the original Hula Pie Kimo’s has been a Maui must-do for nearly 30 years.  The upstairs main dining room shows the architectural influence of New England on the former whaling port, with koa-lined walls, missionary-style furnishings and maritime memorabilia.

Kimo’s opened in 1977 and is the oldest restaurant on Front Street, and still the busiest.  When you think of dining at an island hot spot, you think touristy, you think trendy, you think expensive.   Kimo’s is definitely a hot spot, definitely touristy- it’s Maui almost everyone is a tourist!  But definitely not over-priced!  We found a great value in a gorgeous setting.  Everyone at dusk gets up to move around to get the best photo of the Maui sunset and you get the feeling here that you’ll definitely be back!  I know we’ll add it to our list of favorites in Lahaina.

Dinner at Kimo’s includes Fresh Fish, Prime Rib & Steaks, and Seafood.  You’ll find great cocktails, friendly and attentive staff and memories of the sunset that will last a lifetime.
